Earlier in their career, Markus worked as a Student Assistant for logistics projects at the Institute of Applied Logistics from 2010 to 2011. Markus also gained experience at Daimler in the Worldwide Transportation department, focusing on procurement logistics networks in Europe from 2009 to 2010.

Markus Schellinger obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) in 2011. During their undergraduate studies, they focused on various fields such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Project management, and Business Informatics. Markus pursued further education and completed their Master's degree in Business and Engineering (MBE) from the University of Stuttgart in 2017, specializing in Logistics Management.
