Michael Howell, MD has been in the medical field for over a decade. In 2011, they became the Program Director of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center. In 2012, they were appointed Medical Director at Fairview Health Services. In 2015, they co-founded and became President of the Sleep Performance Institute. From 2017 to 2022, they were Vice Chair of Education at the University of Minnesota Department of Neurology, providing medical trainees and faculty with comprehensive education on the human nervous system. In 2022, they became Co-Chief Scientific Officer at GEM Health.
Dr. Michael Howell completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences from 1997 to 2001. Michael then went on to the University of Minnesota for a Neurology Residency Program from 2001 to 2005, followed by a Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program at the Hennepin County Medical Center from 2005 to 2006.
