Neil Pouney.

Neil Pouney is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Head of School at GEMS Metropole School since April 2024. Prior to this role, Neil held the position of Head of School at UTC Swindon from July 2022 to April 2024 and was a Member of the Board of Trustees at Maiden Erlegh Trust during the same timeframe. From January 2018 to July 2022, Neil contributed as Vice Principal at UTC Reading, focusing on delivering outstanding STEM education and teaching KS4 & 5 Mathematics and BTEC Engineering. Neil’s earlier experience includes serving as Head of Mathematics at The Vyne Community School from June 2009 to January 2018, where leadership led to the introduction of new and challenging subjects. Neil's career in education began following service in the RAF from September 1986 to June 2009. Educational background includes attendance at Alderbrook School, Edge Hill University, and NEWI.
