Ismail Ekmekci has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Ismail is currently serving as the Head of Client Service Solutions at Gen II Fund Services since January 2020. Prior to this, Ismail held various positions at State Street. Prior to their roles at Investors Bank & Trust, Ismail started their career as a Fund Accounting Manager at the same institution. Ismail completed a 12-week fund accounting training program and performed daily accounting and administration tasks for private equity funds. Ismail also built pricing models for the client services team and worked on pricing, income collection, daily broker reconciliations, and custody operations.

Ismail Ekmekci attended Tarsus American College until 1990. Ismail then went on to Istanbul Technical University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from 1990 to 1994. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance at Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business, from 1994 to 1996.
