Jesse Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They started their career as a Business Analyst at Link Business before moving on to work as a Management Tutor at Massey University. Jesse then worked as an Advisor at KPMG New Zealand, primarily focusing on business process improvement and internal audit. They continued their consulting career as a Consultant at KPMG Australia. Jesse's experience in data science began at OC&C Strategy Consultants, where they worked as a Data Scientist/Strategy Consultant. They then joined BCG GAMMA as a Lead Data Scientist before transitioning to the role of Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Currently, Jesse holds the position of Vice President Data Science at General Atlantic. In addition to their corporate roles, Jesse also worked as a Consultant in the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (Queensland), and as a Contract CFD Modelling professional at Ramboll, where they focused on modelling gas pollutant spread. Overall, Jesse Thomas has gained experience in various aspects of data science, strategy consulting, and business analysis throughout their career.

Jesse Thomas has a diverse education background. In 2008, they began their studies at Massey University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Management, completing both degrees in 2011.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Jesse continued their education at The University of Queensland in 2014, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematics, completing the program in 2015. Furthermore, Jesse also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Computational and Applied Mathematics at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in the same year.

In addition to their formal education, Jesse obtained the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from Scrum.org in August 2019.
