Wenchen Zhao

Wenchen Zhao is a Senior Scientist in Technology Development at Genevant Sciences since February 2022, specializing in the design, preparation, and characterization of nucleic acid-based lipid nanoparticles for preclinical assessments. Prior to this role, Wenchen served as a Scientist I at Cytiva, where responsibilities included formulating liposomes and nanoparticles, conducting downstream processing, and optimizing formulation parameters for over ten development projects. Wenchen's career in research began as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia, focusing on drug activities in various cell types. Wenchen holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from The University of British Columbia, as well as a Diploma of Technology in Biotechnology from British Columbia Institute of Technology.
