Hosein Barzekar is a Senior Computer Vision Scientist at Genmab since August 2023, bringing extensive expertise in computer vision and artificial intelligence research. Previously, Hosein served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from January 2017 to August 2023, where pioneering work in computer vision and explainable AI was completed, including the development of a model-agnostic algorithm for counterfactual explanations. Hosein's teaching and research experience includes multiple teaching assistant roles and contributions to significant projects, such as the state-of-the-art C-Net model for biomedical image classification and a multiclass semantic segmentation model for Parkinson's disease at Genentech. Hosein holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earned in December 2022.
