David Barnes

David Barnes has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. David currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at GenUI, a role they have held since August 2020. Prior to that, David worked at Slalom Consulting as a Principal from 2016 to July 2020.

In 2015, David joined Logic20/20, Inc. as the Senior Director of Business Consulting. In this role, they led the Business Consulting practice and was responsible for various aspects such as P&L management, new business development, operations, recruitment, training, and market analysis. David successfully managed a team of over 45 consultants and their projects. Before this role, David served as a Client Director at Logic20/20, Inc. from 2013 to 2014 and was responsible for sales, account management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and personnel management.

Prior to their tenure at Logic20/20, Inc., David worked at Premera Blue Cross, where they held multiple roles. David served as the Director of Product Strategy & Development from 2009 to 2013, overseeing research and development for new product concepts and managing product management for a business with revenue exceeding $3 billion. Before this, they held the positions of Senior Manager and Product Manager from 2005 to 2008. David also has experience working at Hitachi Consulting as a Manager and at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting as a Senior Consultant.

David's career began with an internship at Fluke Corporation in 1999, and they later worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art as an Assistant Building Manager. Overall, David Barnes has a proven track record in senior leadership roles, business consulting, sales, and product management.

David Barnes has a diverse education history. David holds an MBA in Strategy & Marketing from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. In 1997 to 1998, they earned a Certificate in Contract Administration from Cornell University ILR School. Additionally, they obtained a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester. David Barnes also has a certification as an AWS Business Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in February 2019.
