Cory Baird

Cory Baird has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Cory began their career as an Assistant Language Teacher with the JET Program in 2012. In 2015, they took on a Diplomatic Assistant role at the Embassy of Japan, where they monitored and reported on U.S. politics and issues relevant to the portfolios of diplomats. In 2016, they worked as an Economic News Intern at Bloomberg LP. In 2017, Baird served as a Visiting Researcher at the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research. In 2018, they were a Staff Writer at The Japan Times. In 2021, Baird was a Senior Researcher, Economic & Revenue Forecasting at Beacon Economics LLC. Most recently, Baird is a Senior Analyst, Political Science | Data Modeling at GeoQuant, a position they have held since 2022.

Cory Baird began their educational journey at St Louis Park Highschool from 2005 to 2008. Cory then attended the University of St. Thomas from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in Political Science with a focus on Political Science and Japanese. From 2015 to 2017, Baird attended The University of Tokyo, where they earned a Master of Public Policy degree. Cory is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Public Policy at the University of Maryland.
