Jonathan Franklin

Jonathan Franklin is an experienced journalist and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University since January 2023. Franklin has a diverse background in multimedia reporting, having worked at NPR from July 2021 to November 2024 in various capacities including Race, Culture & Identity Reporter, Culture Reporter, and General Assignment Reporter, where comprehensive reporting on race, culture, identity, and breaking news was provided across multiple platforms. Prior to NPR, Franklin held positions at WUSA-TV and WJLA-TV, focusing on digital journalism and news production. A graduate of Georgetown University with a Master's degree in Journalism, Franklin also holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Digital Media from Wofford College, complementing extensive experience in research and communications through earlier roles, including fellowships at Mission Partners and The Bonner Foundation.
