Brittany Bratton is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Dean of Instruction at Gestalt Community Schools since June 2020. Prior to this role, Brittany held the position of Assistant Principal at Shelby County Schools from July 2015 to June 2020, where responsibilities included leading a team of English teachers through data-driven instruction cycles to enhance student achievement. Brittany also served as Resident Principal at Melrose High, focusing on improving performance for students in the lowest percentile in the state, and previously contributed to professional development and coaching as part of the PIT Crew at Shelby County Schools. Starting their career as an English Teacher and Department Chair at Middle College High School from 2004 to 2013, Brittany holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rhodes College and a Master's degree in Literary Linguistics from the University of Birmingham.
