Syavash Nobarany

Syavash Nobarany has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Syavash is currently working as the Founding Software Engineer at Bluesky since August 2022. Previously, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Clio - Cloud-Based Legal Technology from May 2021 to October 2022. Syavash also worked as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Momentum Dashboard from April 2017 to May 2021. Prior to that, they co-founded OurNows Inc, where they developed the front-end and back-end of the web application OurNows.com from July 2015 to February 2017. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant (UX research and design) at The University of British Columbia from September 2010 to July 2015 and as a Research Assistant (Visual analytics research and design) at Simon Fraser University from September 2008 to September 2010.

Syavash Nobarany completed their education in a sequential manner. Syavash obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Tehran, from the period of 2003 to 2008. Syavash then pursued a Master's Degree in Interactive Arts and Technology from Simon Fraser University, from 2008 to 2010. Lastly, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, specializing in Human-computer Interaction, from The University of British Columbia, from 2010 to 2015.
