David Novakovic

David Novakovic has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David started in 2009 as a Co-Founder at Bendaware Pty Ltd and worked there until 2016. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the CTO & Co-Founder at scrunch, focusing on data science, marketing engineering, and user analytics. In 2017, they held multiple roles, including Consulting Software Engineer at LiteracyPlanet and Interim CTO at Veriluma. David joined Cake Equity as the CTO from December 2017 to April 2019. David then worked as a Principal Engineer at LiteracyPlanet from April 2019 to July 2020. David joined Linktree as a Staff Engineer from August 2020 to November 2021. In 2022, they worked as the Head of Data & Platforms at Foresight Group Inc., where they focused on aligning the commercial insurance business with the workplace safety product. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Engineering Manager at CalcTree since May 2023.

David Novakovic's education history begins with their high school matriculation at Somerset College, which they completed between 1994 and 1999. David then pursued a Bachelor of IT degree at Griffith University in 2004. In 2005 and 2006, they studied IT at Bond University. David continued their education by completing a Masters IT (research) degree in Computational Linguistics at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications. In April 2007, they earned the MCSE certification from Microsoft. More recently, they completed the "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" course on Coursera and obtained their certificate in October 2016. In June 2017, they achieved the "Functional Program Design in Scala" certification from Coursera as well.
