Jan Hrubes

Jan Hrubes has a diverse work experience in software engineering and web development. Jan started their career in 2010 as a Software Engineer at Smart print s.r.o. In 2011, they joined Q2 Interactive as a Web Developer until February 2015. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Web Developer & Consultant, helping clients bring their online ideas to market and developing their online presence.

In 2015, Jan Hrubes joined Maternia, s.r.o. as a Software Engineer and worked there until May 2017. Jan then moved on to GetYourGuide, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer from June 2017 to February 2022. From April 2021, they took on the role of Engineering Manager at GetYourGuide.

Throughout their career, Jan Hrubes has been involved in designing and delivering approximately 20 websites for personal branding and startup products as a Freelance Web Developer. Jan has also provided content, marketing, and web environment consultations to improve website performance.

Jan Hrubes completed their education at Masaryk University Brno. Jan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Informatics from 2010 to 2013. Jan then pursued a Master's Degree in Service Science, Management and Execution from 2013 to 2016 at the same university. In addition, they attended Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 2015 to obtain another Master's Degree in Service Engineering and Management.

Jan Hrubes also holds several certifications. In 2016, they obtained the "New Manager Fundamentals" certification from Lynda.com and the "Digital Garage" certification from Google. In 2015, they acquired the "Google Tag Manager Fundamentals" certification from Google and completed the "Kentico Developer Training" offered by Kentico Software. Furthermore, Jan Hrubes received the "Kvalifikovaný whiskey degustátor" certification from John Jameson & son in 2013, although the month of attainment is unspecified.
