Nicolò Pignatelli

Nicolò Pignatelli has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Nicolò most recently worked at GetYourGuide as the Director of Engineering, a role they began in August 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at GetYourGuide from June 2020 to August 2022.

Before joining GetYourGuide, Nicolò worked at Careship as the VP of Engineering from October 2018 to June 2020.

From November 2016 to September 2018, Nicolò served as the Director of Engineering at GFG eCommerce Technologies GmbH (formerly Rocket Labs GmbH & Co.KG). In this role, they had various responsibilities including supervising the technical platform, discussing company strategy, and co-coordinating feature development.

Prior to their role as Director of Engineering, Nicolò worked as a Software Engineer at Rocket Internet from August 2014 to November 2016. After the team they were part of became a separate company, they became a team leader, overseeing architectural choices and coordinating with peers and management.

In 2009, Nicolò co-founded Mybestplanet srl, an online travel agency, where they served as the CTO. Nicolò managed and participated in the software development process of the live booking platform, and defined the technological development strategy.

Nicolò also has experience as an IT Trainer, where they conducted a workshop called "Playing Symfony" in May 2014. The workshop focused on teaching Symfony, a PHP full-stack framework, and included various teaching techniques.

Nicolò Pignatelli began their education in 1999 and completed it in 2009. Nicolò attended Liceo Classico from 1999 to 2004, where they studied Ancient/Classical Greek Language and Literature. Following this, they enrolled in Politecnico di Bari from 2004 to 2009, majoring in Ingegneria informatica (Computer Engineering). Nicolò also obtained a certification in Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach from Coursera Course Certificates in November 2016.
