Gustavo Prieto

Gustavo Prieto is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in international law and human rights. Currently serving as a Lecturer Coordinator for the LLM Advanced Human Rights Course and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University since November 2020, Gustavo also holds the position of FWO Senior Researcher at the Research Foundation Flanders since November 2022. Active in academia, Gustavo is a member of the Academic Advisory Board for INATBA and has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Università degli Studi di Torino and a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. Gustavo's PhD research focuses on "The Concept of Legitimacy on International Investment Disputes: Constructing South American Common Principles." Gustavo holds multiple degrees in law, including a PhD in Law from the Università degli Studi di Verona and an LLM in International Economic Law from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar Ecuador.
