Rodrigo Salazar's work experience begins in 1988 as an Instrumentation Engineering Supervisor at Mexicana de Cobre, S.A. de C.V. - Compañía Minera de Cananea S.A. Rodrigo then worked as an Electrical Design Engineer at Tridente from 1989 to 1999. Following that, Salazar joined Stoneridge, Inc., Electronics & Control Devices as an Electrical Engineer from 1999 to 2002. Rodrigo then moved to Valeo Motors & Actuators as an Electrical Engineer from 2002 to 2003 and as an Electrical Design Engineer from 2004 to 2006. Salazar then served as an Electrical Design Engineer at Nidec Motors and Actuators (USA), Inc from 2007 to 2011. Currently, they are working at GHSP as a Principal Electrical Design Engineer, where they have held various roles since 2011, including Principal Electrical Design Engineer/Team Manager. In this position, they led a team of electrical engineers and successfully launched high-volume designs for OEMs such as FORD, GM, FCA, and Wolf Subzero.

Rodrigo Salazar obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Universidad de Guadalajara, where they studied from 1982 to 1987. Rodrigo also attended the Berlitz Institute in 1985 to 1986 to study English Language. In 2006, they briefly studied English Language at Wayne State University.
