Amy Wu started their work experience as an Interactive Designer for Boston University AdLab, where they designed and created a website for a local client. Amy then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston University, assisting with qualitative analysis of political speeches. Amy then interned at Huge, where they assisted the Strategic Planning team with research and creative brainstorming. Amy later joined Boston University AdLab again as a Social Media and Analytics team member, working on social media strategies for clients. Amy then worked as a Strategic Services Coordinator at Centron before transitioning to Horizon Next, where they initially served as an Assistant Strategist and later became a Brand Strategist. In these roles, they led reporting calls, conducted ad hoc analysis, and built media plans for various clients. Amy then joined OMD USA as an Integrated Media Planner, where they were responsible for planning digital media for the Wells Fargo account and coordinating with creative agencies. Most recently, they worked as a Creative Operations Specialist at HBO Max under WarnerMedia. Amy is currently employed as a Senior Media Strategist at Giant Spoon.
Amy Wu completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Advertising from Boston University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from The University of Texas at Austin, which they attended from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Honors from The University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2015. Amy completed their high school education at Plano Senior High School from 2009 to 2011, although no degree or field of study is specified.
In terms of additional certifications, Amy obtained the Snapchat Essentials certification from Snap Inc. in April 2023, as well as the Google Ads Display certification and Google Ads Search Certification from Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in April 2023 and January 2021, respectively.
