Kay Leong Thng

Senior Vice President at GIC

Kay Leong Thng has extensive work experience in the field of investments and risk management. Kay Leong worked at GIC from 2007 to present, starting as an Associate and progressing to Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and currently Senior Vice President. In their role as Senior Vice President, Kay played a key role in implementing the New Investment Framework in 2013 and led the review and design of the framework in 2020. Kay Leong also established risk frameworks and policies for GIC's Total Portfolio. Before joining GIC, Kay worked at CSIT as an Information and Communications Engineer, where they delivered strategic satellite and mobile communication technologies for Singapore's national security needs.

Kay Leong Thng completed their Honours degree in Engineering from the National University of Singapore from 2001 to 2005. Kay Leong then pursued a CFA degree in Finance from the CFA Institute from 2007 to 2009. Finally, they obtained an MSC degree in Risk and Investment Management from the EDHEC-Risk Institute from 2011 to 2012.
