Product Management Director at Gigamon

Patrick Riley has over 20 years of experience in product management and marketing roles in the technology industry. Patrick started their career as an Applications Engineer at KLA-Tencor and then moved on to Electroglas as an Applications Development Engineer. At Sunrise Telecom, they worked as a Product Marketing Manager and was responsible for writing MRDs and improving bug and enhancement tracking systems. After that, they joined Alacritech as the Director of Product Management, where they brought a 10 Gigabit Scalable Network Accelerator to market and improved the market competitiveness of the Gigabit product line. Patrick then joined Ericsson as a Product Manager, where they completed the shutdown of ATM sales and oversaw the development of an OC-48 ATM NIC. Currently, they are working at Gigamon as a Product Management Director, where they manage line of visibility products for security and network monitoring and initiated the development of inline bypass capabilities.

Patrick Riley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UC San Diego, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Patrick then pursued further education at the University of California, Davis, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Applied Science (Physics) from 1992 to 1994.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Patrick Riley has obtained several certifications. These include "Having Difficult Conversations" and "Managing Your Manager," both from LinkedIn and obtained in January 2023. Patrick also received certifications in "Critical Thinking," "Leading with Emotional Intelligence," and "Transitioning from Manager to Leader" from LinkedIn in December 2022. Furthermore, Patrick has a certification in "Pragmatic Marketing," although the institution and the exact date of completion are unknown.
