Sonny Hoang

Sonny Hoang has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Starting in 2013, they served as a Legal Intern for UC Hastings: Biotech Start Up Clinic at Ambercycle, Inc. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Corporate Counsel at Promus Group. In 2015, they had brief stints as an Associate Attorney at Nakamoto & Chou LLP and Scott Cole & Associates, APC. In 2016, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP. From 2017 to 2019, they served as General Counsel at A3 Smart Home, overseeing various legal matters, including an acquisition by AAA. Sonny also worked as a Contract Attorney at the Law Offices of Andrew Hecht in 2017. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as an Associate Counsel at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. From 2021 to 2022, they served as Sr. Counsel at Sycomp, managing international commercial transactions and supporting various corporate functions. Currently, they are employed as Sr. Counsel at Gigamon, where they provide support, guidance, and negotiations related to international commercial transactions, data privacy, information security, and corporate governance. Sonny also contributed to the due diligence and transition efforts for the sale of a product to Fortinet.

Sonny Hoang obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2009, they attended UC Santa Barbara and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Studies.
