Alexandre Mercier

Alexandre Mercier is a Sr Research Scientist II at Gilead Sciences, since September 2019, specializing in the discovery and development of antiviral drugs. Prior positions include Senior Scientist at Assembly Biosciences, Inc., where efforts focused on antiviral drug discovery for chronic hepatitis B, and roles as a postdoctoral fellow at both Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research and the University of California, San Francisco, researching viral mechanisms and host interactions. Alexandre holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Université de Sherbrooke and has contributed to 12 scientific publications, including 4 as the first author.
