Molly Graton

Co-Founder at GirlCon

Molly Graton is currently the Co-Founder at GirlCon. Prior to that, they were a Research Intern at Northwestern University from June 2018 to August 2018. There, they worked with professor and graduate students on using gravitational waves to constrain primordial black holes as dark matter in the galaxy. Molly was also a Student Ambassador for Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership from June 2016 to June 2017. Molly was selected to represent their high school at HOBY to ameliorate leadership skills and help local communities. Molly continued with volunteer work after the conference. In July 2019, Molly was chosen as one of 32 students for the highly selective computer science immersion program facilitated by Google Engineers called Google CSSI. The coursework is based in Javascript, Python, HTML/CSS, and App Engine. Molly interned at Google again the following year as a Google STEP Intern from May 2020 to August 2020. Prior to their work in tech, Molly was a Location Manager at Liberty 1&2 Theaters from June 2017 to July 2019 and a Web Developer at Golden Age Cinemas from January 2019 to May 2020.

Molly Graton has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Molly is currently a prospective Computer Science student at Libertyville High School. Molly has also attended Vernon Hills High School.
