Kimberly Abuelhaj

Kimberly Abuelhaj is the Senior Director of Membership at GLAAD. Kimberly has over seven years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on fundraising and donor relations.

Prior to joining GLAAD, Kimberly was a Senior Account Executive at Sanky Communications, Inc., where they oversaw the development and implementation of direct marketing campaigns for clients in the healthcare, education, and human services industries.

Before their time at Sanky, Kimberly was the Manager of Individual Giving at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing amfAR's annual direct marketing program, which included acquisition, renewal, and stewardship efforts designed to grow support from donors with a giving level below $5,000.

Under Kimberly's leadership, amfAR's direct marketing program saw significant growth, with an increase in both donor retention and new donor acquisition. In addition to their work on the direct marketing program, Kimberly also managed amfAR's Memorial Fund relationship and provided support to the organization's social media team.

Kimberly is a skilled fundraiser with a proven track record of success in developing and executing comprehensive direct marketing programs. Kimberly is a strategic thinker with a passion for building relationships with donors and fostering a culture of philanthropy within organizations.

Kimberly Abuelhaj is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French.
