Katie Aiello

Katie Aiello is a seasoned professional in the fields of AI and machine learning, currently serving as Senior Director of AI/ML Engineering at GSK since June 2019, following roles as Director and Machine Learning Engineer within the same organization. Previously, Katie worked at Genentech, where significant contributions included leading a team to develop an AI system for predicting patient outcomes and executing machine learning pilot projects focusing on clinical development. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute at the University of Utah, where computational methods for genomic data analysis were developed. Educational credentials encompass a PhD and MS in Bioengineering from the University of Utah, as well as a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
