Setu Bandh Upadhyay

Setu Bandh Upadhyay is an experienced professional with a diverse background in policy advocacy, research, and technology policy. Currently serving as Asia Coordinator at Open Knowledge Foundation since April 2024 and Membership & Learning Associate at Global Network Initiative from March 2023, Setu has previously held roles including Policy Advocacy Coordinator and Researcher at Global Voices, and Research Coordinator for the Platform://Democracy Project at Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society. Setu's experience also encompasses positions as Technology Policy Consultant at CUTS International and Technology Law & Policy Consultant at The Dialogue. With academic credentials including a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Central European University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mumbai, Setu's work has significantly impacted areas related to digital rights, civic media, and legal frameworks for technology.
