Mike Sarles has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Mike started their career as a Circulation/Online Marketing Manager and later became the General Manager of Community Development at Global Sources. In these roles, they successfully increased user traffic, annual buyer inquiries, and buyer community.

Mike then joined Watson Consoles as the Manager of the Project Management Team, where they managed a team responsible for $100 million in annual sales and coordinated with outside sales managers for emergency operation center and 911 call center furniture installations.

Mike also worked at Kitsap County as an Emergency Dispatcher and at UBM Asia Ltd as the US Country Manager. In both roles, they remotely managed successful sales teams.

More recently, Mike held positions at Global Sources, AspenCore, and Panguitch City. At Global Sources, they worked as the Chief Representative and later as the Country Manager, where they remotely managed a highly successful sales team and oversaw various media titles and conferences. At AspenCore, they served as the Asia Sales Manager, managing a US sales team and integrating Salesforce.

Currently, Mike is working at Utah State University Extension as the Remote Online Initiative - Statewide Program Coordinator.

Mike Sarles holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mandarin Chinese from Brigham Young University. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including "Managing Remote and Hybrid Teams" from Stanford Online, "Nano Tips for Using ChatGPT for Business with Rachel Woods" from LinkedIn, and "Prompt Engineering: How to Talk to the AIs" from LinkedIn, among others. Mike completed the "Master Remote Work Professional" certification from Utah State University - Remote Online Initiative in 2018.
