Jorge Enoch Furquim Werneck Lima is a seasoned professional in the fields of water management and environmental conservation, currently serving as the Subsecretary of Biodiversity, Conservation, Water Security, and Sanitation at SEMAD-GO since April 2023. Jorge is also a member of the steering committee for the Global Water Partnership and previously held the position of Deputy Superintendent of Plans, Programs, and Projects at the National Agency of Water and Basic Sanitation (ANA). With a strong leadership background, Jorge served as Director at both the Regulatory Agency for Water, Energy, and Basic Sanitation of the Federal District (ADASA) and the World Water Council, contributing to global discourse on water and sanitation. Jorge holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Brasília and has extensive experience as a senior researcher in hydrology with Embrapa. Earlier roles include technical specialist at the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) and vice-president at both ABAR and the Brazilian Association of Water Resources.
