Cliff Man, CFA

Cliff Man, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Cliff is currently the Head of Portfolio Management at Global X ETFs AU since October 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Co-Head of Portfolio Management from May 2017 to October 2020. Cliff also worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager from October 2016 to April 2017 and as a Portfolio Manager from October 2013 to October 2016 at the same company. Their responsibilities included managing ETFs and ETCs listed on the ASX and HKSE, as well as overseeing a China A UCITS ETF listed across Europe.

Before joining Global X ETFs AU, Cliff worked at Guotai Junan Assets (Asia) Limited as an Assistant Vice President from October 2010 to October 2013. In this role, they managed three greater Chinese active equity funds with different fundamental tilts. Cliff conducted investment research on healthcare, infrastructure, and technology equities, developed valuation models, conducted company visits, and prepared research notes for the team.

Between November 2007 and October 2010, Cliff worked as an Investment Manager at Hang Seng Investment Management Limited. Their responsibilities included managing portfolios that included indexing tracking unit trusts, leveraged funds, and ETFs. Cliff also assisted in the product development of various quantitative products.

Earlier in their career, Cliff held the role of Associate at EditGrid from June 2006 to November 2007. In this role, they supervised the production of financial accounting materials for audit and fundraising purposes. Cliff also implemented internet marketing strategies to increase product visibility.

Cliff started their career as an Intern at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority from June 2004 to June 2005.

Cliff Man, CFA, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2002 to 2006. Cliff later pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Macquarie University from 2020 to 2026. Cliff has also earned additional certifications, including the "IBM Data Science Professional Certificate" from Coursera in July 2019 and the "Generative AI for Business Leaders" certification from LinkedIn in May 2023. Furthermore, Cliff is a charterholder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which was obtained from the CFA Institute.
