Roberto Avallone

Roberto Avallone has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Roberto currently holds the position of VP Project Delivery at GLOBALFOUNDRIES since June 2021. Prior to this role, Roberto worked at Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) for seven years, where they served as the Director of Strategy & Market Research from April 2018 to May 2021. During their time at EGA, they were responsible for strategic planning, execution of concept studies, and supporting megaproject delivery teams.

Before joining EGA, Roberto worked at Etisalat as the Director of Operations Performance Management Africa cluster from April 2013 to November 2014. Roberto also has an extensive background in management consulting, having worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal for over six years, starting in November 2006 and ending in April 2013.

Roberto's earlier career includes roles at Fastweb as a System Test Manager, where they led a group of seven people and validated network equipment, and at Pirelli Submarine Telecom Systems, where they served as a System Test Manager and Project Engineer. During their tenure at Pirelli, they led a test team, conducted equipment integration, and worked on various cable laying projects.

Throughout their career, Roberto has demonstrated expertise in project delivery, strategy, market research, operations performance management, and system testing.
