Archana Bhat

VP Of Product Development, Biologics at Globus Medical

Archana Bhat, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and regenerative medicine. Archana is currently the VP of Product Development, Biologics at Globus Medical. Archana has previously served as the Director of Regenerative Biologics and Director of Product Development- IBF and Biologics at the same company. Prior to joining Globus Medical, Archana worked as a Group Manager-Biomaterials and Senior Project Engineer at the company. Archana has also held the position of Project Engineer.

Before joining Globus Medical, Archana worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Davis, where they focused on developing strategies to control the osteogenic potential of craniosynostotic osteoblasts and evaluating the use of various polymers for promoting osteogenic differentiation.

Archana's early work experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Toledo, where they worked on characterizing injectable polymer microparticles and evaluating their potential for inducing osteogenic differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells. Archana also worked as an Intern at Spic Biotech, where they optimized bio-chemical parameters for the manufacture of protease enzyme.

Archana Bhat, PhD obtained a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras. Archana then pursued an M.S. in Bioengineering at The University of Toledo from 2003 to 2005. Afterwards, they completed their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Toledo from 2006 to 2009. Finally, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California-Davis from 2009 to 2012.
