Michael Bridgman

Michael Bridgman has a diverse work experience. Michael started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Cape Town from July 2010 to June 2011. Michael then moved on to become a Partner at Bureh Belts, a socially responsible fashion label based in Sierra Leone, where they worked from April 2011 to September 2013. Following that, Michael joined Fleximize as a Business Development professional from October 2013 to January 2015. At Fleximize, they were part of the fast-growing communities in alternative finance and fintech in the United Kingdom, focusing on revolutionizing the traditional interest-based model of finance. After that, they served as the Head of Product at FUNDING XCHANGE from February 2015 to May 2018. During their time at FUNDING XCHANGE, they played a crucial role in solving the pain small businesses face when looking for debt funding. Finally, Michael joined GoCardless in May 2018 and held various positions, starting as a Product Manager and progressively moving up to Group Product Manager and currently serving as the Product Director.

Michael Bridgman completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics, Politics, and Economic History at the University of Cape Town from 2007 to 2010.
