David Kay

Manager of Culinary Operations at Goldbelly

David Kay began their career in 2014 as a Member Advocate at Neighbors Together Corp. In 2015, they joined Mayfield Restaurant as a Chef De Partie, where they were promoted to a senior hot station based on their organizational and time-management skills. In 2017, they moved to Gramercy Tavern as a Chef De Partie, Saucier, where they were the most senior line-cook responsible for upholding Michelin Guide 1 Star standards. In 2019, they joined Dig as a Ghost Kitchen Recipe Developer and 232 Bleecker Restaurant Recipe Tester / Prep Cook. In 2020, they returned to Mayfield Restaurant as a Sous Chef, where they worked with executive level management to reimagine the restaurant mid-pandemic. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Goldbelly as the Manager of Culinary Operations and Pies Upstairs as the Founder.

David Kay attended Syracuse University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in English Textual Studies. In 2012, they also spent a year at University College Dublin studying English Language and Literature, General.
