Valerie Allen

Valerie Allen is a professional artist based in Michigan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati and graduate studies in humanities from Central Michigan University. Currently serving as a Master Mentor Artist at Mastrius and a Visual Artist at Art Ladders, Valerie has extensive experience in the art field, including a long-standing role as a Certified Working Artist Program Lecturer and Workshop Leader for Golden Artist Colors. Valerie previously worked as a curator for Studio 23 - The Arts Center, overseeing the selection and marketing of multiple annual exhibits, and held the position of Assistant Director of Sales and Service at Midland Center for the Arts, where initiatives for enhancing guest experiences were developed. As a participant in ArtPrize from 2009 to 2015, Valerie showcased a variety of artistic works in prominent venues. Additionally, Valerie has experience as an interior designer at Ethan Allen Retail, Inc., where design consultations and floor planning were conducted.
