Akshay Chugh has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Akshay is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Thriwe, where they have led technical teams in developing innovative solutions, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced costs. Akshay has also directed the development of new products and services, including a cloud-based SaaS platform and multiple mobile apps.

Prior to their current role, Akshay worked at Zomato as the Head of Engineering - Hyperpure, leading a multidisciplinary team in building warehousing and logistics solutions. Akshay also played a key role in enhancing warehouse efficiency and implementing ML-powered recommendation systems.

Before Zomato, Akshay worked at Expedia Group, where they held the position of a Software Development Engineer III and II. Akshay implemented a scalable messaging system and developed microservices for extracting tags and evaluating sentiments from review texts. Akshay also contributed to the development of a notification library and improved batch processing module for faster inventory reads.

Akshay's early career includes working as a Software Engineer at Zomato, where they designed an end-to-end framework for translating static and dynamic website content and developed client-side modules for image manipulation and analytics. Akshay also gained experience as a Google Summer of Code developer at Wikimedia Foundation, where they developed a Conference Management System extension using the MediaWiki framework.

Akshay Chugh pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from 2007 to 2011 at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
