Tom Shinnick

Tom Shinnick has a diverse work experience in the legal field, spanning over 18 years. Tom currently serves as Deputy General Counsel at Golub Captial, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate General Counsel and Compliance Officer at IPI Partners from June 2021 to January 2022. Tom also worked at Golub Capital as Senior Counsel from February 2018 to June 2021. Before joining Golub Capital, Tom worked at Mayer Brown as an Associate from March 2016 to February 2018, focusing on private investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate counseling. Tom also worked as an Associate at Cooley LLP from July 2015 to March 2016 and at Mayer Brown from January 2010 to July 2015. Additionally, Tom has experience as a Fellow at the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services in 2009 and as a Summer Associate at Mayer Brown in 2008. Tom began their career at Sandia National Laboratories in 2004, working in Internal Audit until August 2006.

Tom Shinnick completed their education in a chronological order. Tom first attended New Mexico State University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained their BBA degree in Finance with Honors. Afterwards, from 2004 to 2005, Shinnick pursued an MBA degree at UNM Anderson School of Management. Lastly, from 2006 to 2009, they attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where they achieved their JD degree in Law, with Cum Laude honors.
