Manager - New Product Development at Good Sense Foods

Dr. Pooja Lakhanpal has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Dr. Pooja started their career as a Food Quality Assurance Technician at Dean Foods in 2018. Later that year, they worked as a Specifications Documentation Specialist at SunOpta. In the same year, they also served as an R&D Tech/Food Scientist 1 at Pearson's Candy Company. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of R&D Food Scientist at Pearson's Candy Company and continued in this position until 2020. In 2020, they joined Target as a Product Development Scientist, where they worked until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Manager - New Product Development at Good Sense Foods.

Dr. Pooja Lakhanpal received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Food Technology from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, India from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Post Harvest Technology from the same university from 2008 to 2010. Dr. Pooja also completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Horticulture from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, India from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Dr. Lakhanpal has acquired additional certifications in FDA Food Labeling from AIB International, Inc, Food Safety from the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Minnesota, Saint Paul, USA, and HACCP Manager Certification from the International HACCP Alliance.
