Leo Anghelescu

Leo Anghelescu has a diverse and extensive work experience. Leo is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at GoodRx since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Facebook as a Senior Data Scientist from June 2020 to September 2022.

Before their time at Facebook, Leo held various roles at Fandango, a digital network for moviegoers. Leo served as a Senior Manager of Analytics and Data Science from October 2018 to June 2020. Prior to that, they were a Manager of Analytics from May 2017 to October 2018.

Leo also worked as a Product Manager at Trapeze Group from January 2017 to May 2017, where they managed and optimized transportation software products.

Ingram Micro was Leo's employer from September 2015 to January 2017, where they worked as a Predictive Analyst II. During their time there, they analyzed large datasets, developed statistical forecasting models, optimized pricing strategies, and utilized data-driven methods for lead generation and marketing.

From May 2012 to September 2015, Leo worked at Trapeze Group as an Associate Product Manager. In this role, they managed demand response transportation software products and developed new product initiatives.

Leo's work experience also includes roles at the University of Toronto and Visual8 Corporation. At the University of Toronto, they worked as a Thesis Student and Research Assistant, focusing on cancer treatment delivery and modeling. At Visual8 Corporation, they served as a Research Business Consultant, developing supply chain decision support systems for pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies.

Lastly, Leo worked as a Quality Assurance Statistical Process Control at Princess Margaret Hospital for a brief period, where they conducted analysis and discovered systematic errors in the radiation center. Leo also worked as a Tennis Instructor at O'Connor Hills Tennis Club from June 2004 to August 2007.

Leo Anghelescu earned a Master's of Science degree in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Industrial (Systems) Engineering from the University of Toronto, which they attended from 2007 to 2012. Leo completed their high school education at Victoria Park CI, where they obtained their Highschool Diploma from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Leo also obtained a certification in Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in September 2019.
