Ryan Motel

Ryan Motel has a diverse work experience in the software development field. Ryan currently holds the position of Senior Application Developer at Gordon Flesch Company since September 2020.

Prior to this, they worked at P2 Energy Solutions from December 2014 to July 2020 as a Software Engineer. In this role, their main responsibilities were executing object-oriented software (OOS) design for production software in the oil and gas industry. Ryan employed BDD, SAFe, and Agile methodologies and performed refactoring activities to modernize and improve the readability of legacy systems.

Before P2 Energy Solutions, Ryan worked at Merrick Systems, Inc. from February 2011 to December 2014. Ryan held the role of Software Engineer, where they collaborated with other developers to create production software for the oil and gas industry. Ryan also wrote new features, fixed bugs, assessed issues and gathered requirements from clients, troubleshooted issues, and updated or installed software. Additionally, they executed a project to add the abstract concept of wells to the software. Ryan also served as a QA Engineer at Merrick Systems from October 2006 to February 2011, where they executed functional and regression testing and led a small team of QA engineers for software release testing. Ryan also led a project to implement test plans and test cases to enhance testing efforts.

Ryan Motel attended Michigan Technological University from 1998 to 2002. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in the field of Computer Science.
