Karie Willyerd has a diverse and extensive work experience. Karie currently serves as the Chief Customer Strategy Officer at GP Strategies Corporation since September 2022. Karie is also an Advisory Board Member at GSV Ventures and CoRise starting from October and June 2022 respectively. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Learning Officer at Visa, where they established the first CLO role for the company globally and integrated various learning functions into an award-winning corporate university. Before joining Visa, they worked at SAP as the Head of Global Customer Education and Learning, where they achieved revenue and margin growth by establishing new channel relationships and shifting product mix. Karie also held multiple roles at SAP-SuccessFactors, including Workplace Futurist and Vice President and Chief Learning Officer. Additionally, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of Jambok, a start-up that was later acquired by SuccessFactors. Karie also served as the VP and Chief Learning Officer at Sun Microsystems and Chief Talent Officer at Solectron. Overall, Karie Willyerd has a strong background in executive leadership and strategic learning initiatives.

Karie Willyerd received a Doctorate in Management from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University from 1999 to 2003. Karie also obtained an MS in Instructional & Performance Technology from Boise State University between 1994 and 1997. Karie'sundergraduate degree, a BA in English & Journalism, was earned from Texas Christian University from 1980 to 1984. In addition to their formal education, Karie Willyerd has obtained additional certifications, including one from MIT Sloan School of Management in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy (obtained in an unknown month in 2024) and one from Visa in Visa Payments Management Lab in 2021.
