Jian Chai

Jian Chai has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Jian is currently working as the CFO at Gradient since October 2021. Prior to this, they held a role as a Board Member at Boys & Girls Clubs of America starting in 2018. From 2013 to 2021, Jian worked at Energy Recovery, Inc., where they held the positions of Sr. Director, Corporate Development and Director, Finance and Accounting. Before that, they worked as a Private Equity Associate at Bunker Hill Capital from 2010 to 2012. Jian also co-founded Maggwire Media LLC from 2008 to 2010. Jian'searly career includes roles as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank from 2005 to 2008 and as a Credit Derivatives Analyst at Bank of America in 2004.

Jian Chai holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at the University of Michigan.
