Steven Roos has a diverse work experience in the field of technology, spanning over several years. Steven is currently employed at GrAI Matter Labs as an AI Processor Architect, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Synopsys Inc from January 2020 to July 2022, where they held the roles of Compiler Engineer and Application Engineer. Before joining Synopsys, Steven worked at Intel Corporation as a Modem DSP Engineer from July 2018 to December 2019, and as an Imaging DSP Engineer from July 2012 to June 2018. Steven also gained experience as a Sr. Software Designer at Philips Lighting from November 2010 to June 2012. Steven began their career as a Digital IC Design Engineer at Zarlink Semiconductor from August 2002 to August 2003. Steven holds a Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology, where they worked as a Ph.D. student from January 1998 to June 2002, conducting research on computer architectures with heterogeneous distributed resources and developing a space-time graph model for instruction scheduling algorithms.

Steven Roos earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, which they attended from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, they pursued a year of study in Psychology at Leiden University from 1995 to 1996.
