Margaret Antonio has a diverse work experience starting in 2012. Margaret began their career at Purdue University as a Maize Breeding Field Research Assistant, where they conducted various tasks such as DNA extraction, data collection, and organization. Margaret then served as a Molecular Genetics Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Minnesota in 2014.

In 2015, Margaret worked as a Computational Biology Intern at the Medical University of South Carolina. Margaret later joined Boston College in 2016 as a Bioinformatics Undergraduate Researcher and also worked as a Circulation Assistant at the college's library during the same period.

Margaret then moved to Stanford University in 2016, where they held multiple roles. As a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. Jonathan Pritchard's Lab, they led a team in collecting and sequencing ancient genomes. Margaret also developed bioinformatics pipelines for quality control and data processing. Additionally, they took up the role of a Data Science Workshop Instructor and Teaching Assistant, where they co-developed and taught workshops on R programming, data visualization, and ontologies.

Margaret briefly served as a Bioinformatics Consultant at Purdue University in 2016. Most recently, they joined GRAIL in 2022 as a Bioinformatics Scientist.

Margaret Antonio obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Boston College, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Informatics at Stanford University. Margaret was enrolled in Stanford from 2016 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Margaret Antonio also obtained two additional certifications. In August 2015, they received their Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. Margaret also obtained a Wilderness First Responder certification from the University of Colorado Denver during the same month and year.
