Matthew Margolis has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare and research. Matthew is currently working as a Staff Clinical Scientist at GRAIL since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Foundation Medicine where they held several roles including Scientist I and Clinical Bioinformatics Analyst. Matthew started at Foundation Medicine as a Clinical Bioinformatics Analyst I in 2018 and eventually became a Scientist I in 2020. Prior to their internships, Matthew worked as an Intern at Holy Name Medical Center, shadowing a Plastic Surgeon, and as an Anesthesia Research Volunteer at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, where they collected data and assisted with research projects.

Matthew also had a brief internship at Sandvik.

Matthew Margolis obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, completing their studies in 2014. Matthew then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioinformatics at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. Prior to their collegiate education, Matthew attended Pascack Valley High School, although specific dates and degrees earned during that time are not provided. In addition to their formal education, Matthew Margolis also obtained certifications in Business Process Improvement, Dealing with the Seven Deadly Wastes, and Using Questions to Foster Critical Thinking and Curiosity from LinkedIn in June 2021.
