Monica Buchanan

Monica Buchanan has extensive work experience in the field of medical science liaison. Monica is currently employed at GRAIL as the Field Medical Director, Enterprise Channel, a role they have held since August 2022. Prior to this, they were the Associate Director, Enterprise MSLs at GRAIL from June 2022 to August 2022. Previously, Monica worked at GRAIL as the Regional Director MSL - East from January 2021 to June 2022 and as a Sr. MSL from January 2020 to January 2021. Before joining GRAIL, they worked at Array BioPharma Inc. as a Sr. Medical Science Liaison from May 2019 to January 2020. Monica also has experience as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Genentech from June 2017 to May 2019 and as a Consultant Medical Liaison - Oncology at Eli Lilly and Company from October 2012 to June 2017. Monica's early work experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellow position at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, Hillman Cancer Center from April 2010 to September 2012.

Monica Buchanan has a strong educational background in the field of genetics. Monica obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular and Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine, where they studied from 2002 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Emory University from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Monica also holds a certification in "Ken Blanchard on Servant Leadership," which they obtained from LinkedIn in July 2018.
