Tim Shaver

Tim Shaver has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and data science. Tim currently holds the position of Group Leader, Bioinformatics and Data Science at GRAIL, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Bioinformatics Scientist at GRAIL from August 2022 to October 2022.

Before joining GRAIL, Tim worked at Inscripta, Inc. as a Senior Scientist II from August 2020 to July 2022, and as a Senior Scientist I from May 2018 to August 2020. Tim also gained experience at Insight Data Science, where they served as a Technical Advisor, Admissions Consultant from May 2018 to November 2019, and as a Health Data Science Fellow from January 2018 to May 2018.

Tim further expanded their knowledge and skills as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from August 2017 to May 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Research Technician at Baylor College of Medicine from July 2008 to July 2011.

Tim Shaver received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued further education at Vanderbilt University from 2011 to 2017, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry.
