Rui Peng has extensive work experience in the scientific research field. They started their career as a research assistant at The University of South Dakota in 2009, where they worked on multiple research projects and took the lead in establishing a photocatalytic system for the research group. After five years, they moved on to work as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they conducted research until 2017. In 2018, Peng joined MilliporeSigma as an R&D Scientist II, specializing in research and development. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at GrapheneDx, starting in 2022.
Rui Peng completed a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science with a focus on Materials Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology from 2002 to 2006. Later, Rui Peng pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of South Dakota, studying from 2009 to 2011. Subsequently, Rui Peng continued at the University of South Dakota and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Chemistry, completing the program from 2011 to 2014.
