Premratan Kalani

Premratan Kalani has over 18 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Premratan is currently working at Graphite Bio as the Senior Director of Software Engineering, a position they have held since March 2023. Previously, they worked at Bright Horizons as a Technical Team Lead from February 2021 to July 2021.

From November 2019 to June 2021, Kalani was the Associate Director of Software Engineering at MBP Titan. In this role, they managed a team of software developers and QA engineers, customized in-house LIMS subsystems, and strategized the separation of MBPTitan from Intrexon.

At Intrexon Corporation, Kalani held two roles. From December 2018 to November 2019, they were the Software Engineering Manager, responsible for gathering requirements, planning resources, and establishing best practices for software applications. Prior to that, from October 2016 to November 2018, they were a Project Lead/Senior Software Engineer, leading projects to build in-house software and portal applications.

Kalani also has experience working at CTB/McGraw-Hill as a Senior Software Engineer, where they played a key role in moving a legacy platform to a cloud-based architecture. Before that, they worked at Bookette Software as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of various products.

Early in their career, Kalani worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer, focusing on scalability testing for the Microsoft TV IPTV Edition platform. Premratan also worked at Auctiva as a Software Engineer and at Software Labs as an intern in a Software Engineering role.

Throughout their career, Kalani has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver successful software solutions.
