Mark Bunting has extensive experience in the technology and media sectors. Mark began their career in 1993 as the CEO of TechMedia Capital, a holding company for SkyTV and a myriad of private equity investments. In this role, they were also the CEO of SkyTV, the world's largest producer of technology-related video and television programming. From 2010 to present, they have been an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Texas at Austin's Moody College of Communication, teaching technology marketing and advertising. In 2013, they were a consultant and staff member for Apollo Education Group, where they facilitated the creation of new business models, built sales and development teams, and developed a $70M offering. In 2016, they became a Venture Partner and Offensive Coordinator at S3 Ventures, and in 2017 they were the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Q1Media. In 2018, they became the Global Chief Marketing Officer at Rackspace, and in 2019 they founded Grata, the world's first Recognition Platform. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Coach of Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas' Texas Longhorns Football team.
Mark Bunting attended Mac Arthur High School in Irving Texas from 1979 to 1980. Mark then attended Irmo High School in Irmo, South Carolina and Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville North Carolina. In 1981, they began their studies at The University of Texas at Austin where they earned a degree in Marketing/Advertising with a focus in Marketing Communications in 1985.
