Russell Browning

Russell Browning is an Operating Partner of The Great River Company. He is also a Partner with Pulleyworks Capital, an independent family office focused on small business and private equity investments.

Previously, Russell worked as an executive at Emerson Electric for 20+ years. During his time at Emerson, Russell served as Corporate VP, Development; President of Emerson Motor Company/Ventilation Motors & Products; and VP Marketing, Emerson Industrial Automation/Commercial Cam Company; among other roles.

Russell is a solutions-focused Senior Executive with a background that includes globally focused leadership roles with the ability to build and coach teams, develop a long-term strategic vision, and execute operating plans to enhance shareholder value. He has experience managing sales, marketing, strategic planning, finance, engineering, and human resources/employee relations.

Russell lives in St. Louis, MO, and is an active board member with four privately-held lower middle-market companies. He holds an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Graduate School of Business, University of North Carolina, and a degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan University.
